For the needs of our client, an experienced logistics operator, CAT Cargo Logistic, we are looking for a new team member for the position:

Regional Purchasing Specialist (m/f)
Location: Zagreb

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Manage all suppliers’ relationships
Improve and develop suppliers’ portfolio
Propose and set up a strategy for suppliers’ relationship, meeting CAT Group purchasing guidelines and targets in relation with Purchasing Department
Positively challenge requirements for RFx and insure close and professional relationship with all purchasing stakeholders
Take part of purchasing budget elaboration for all his purchasing families
Issue and drive tenders and negotiate tariffs in line with given targets for suppliers of its portfolio
Communicate accurately and on time to all involved departments updated tariffs and associated conditions contributing to cost control and reduction
Update and communicate on a regular basis the dashboard including KPI’s of costs and tariffs drifts at least by quarter and tariffs & volumes
Improve supplier’s contribution to CAT operational performance:
- Using standard KPI’s (suppliers’ performances: load achieved vs planned, lead time…)
- Building and following formal action plans
- Communicating formally with his suppliers
Keep a sharp knowledge and understanding of the market to anticipate changes and identify risks and opportunities (suppliers monitoring)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Graduated from university with purchasing specialization
At least 5 years of experience in purchasing with excellent knowledge of purchasing process, methods, and tools
Negotiation experience in complex environments including experience with international suppliers
Good understanding of supply chain and logistics
Good analytic and strong communication skills
Capability to identify, drive and implement continuous change
Familiar with Pack Office, and able to adapt to complex information tools linked to the function.
Full professional proficiency in English language (a third European language is a plus)
