Java Language Zone (JLZ) is a company located in Zagreb with its primary focus on developing and maintaining Enterprise Java applications.
Below is a short description of our involvement in the projects we hold for several years already:
• JLZ has the technical lead and responsibility for several applications owned by European Commission (DG TAXUD). Those systems are used by all EU member states on a daily basis - for each import/export of goods. JLZ team supports and develops the evolution of these systems and follows up on production issues, when they occur.
• JLZ has its employee as a project leader of the application owned by Belgian govenment and is responsible for wellbeing of all children (under 21) in Belgium – database recently mentioned in media as «unique in Europe». This project has additional excitement in the technology stack we have recently refreshed and brought to production: angular2/redux above rest based api written in jdk8/spring-boot/hibernate/...
All above systems are in production and in use by thousands of users on a daily basis. If you do not like that kind of challenge, do not read further.
Projects we work on are financially very stable since their budgets come from (EU) governmental sources. Those projects remain on our side with almost no risk of ever loosing them – due to the fact that we do not accept working on projects where we can not be in charge of.
We do not do work on (parts of the) projects with leadership of another company. In other words - we are not a classical outsourcing company, since we are in charge of the projects and even outsource our work and use resources in other countries such are Argentina or Greece.
We discuss and report our work directly with/to the stakeholders in European Commission and Belgian government.
Currently, we are expanding for another new long-term project - this time in strong private sector - and are looking for skilled java and/or angular(2) developers. We will have the lead on the project, and build it ourselves from inception phase until production – join us in the creative work ahead of us.
We would love more senior developer joining us. We guarantee growth of knowledge and responsibilities.
