DESCRIPTION
We'd like to meet you if you are talented and experienced Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and will work colaboratively with our R&D, Product development and software development teams of talented colleagues and engineers with main purpose to design and build the next generation of products and services in our mobile product group - VIVAX MOBILE (android smartphones and tablets).
You would be responsible for OS and application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
Main reponsibilities:
• Design and build applications for the Android platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work with outside data sources and API's
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must posses:
• Strong grounding in programming languages, especially Java
• A solid foundation of data structures, algorithms, and problem solving
• Proficiency in object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, UML
• Moderate understanding of web protocols, JSON and RESTful APIs
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related, plus 1 years of relevant work experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively represent technical issues with internal and external teams
• Self-motivated and driven to drive tasks to completion and deliver high quality solutions
Ideal candidates will offer:
• Experience in Java programming
• Experience in object oriented design, database design, multi-threading and network programming/technologies
• Experience in one Android development
• Professional history using agile methodologies (TDD, continuous integration builds, etc.)
• Optional: Experience with Linux/UNIX scripting and tools
