Join our team as Excise Tax and Customs Executive and you’ll be responsible for the smooth operation in the local market including tax/fiscal stamp procurement and export, import and export of finished goods and POSM, sales orders, reporting to authorities, as well as brand and price registration, to ensure the efficient, timely and quality supply of product to the market.

We offer full time employment with contract for an indefinite period of time. Location of work is Zagreb.


Your ‘day to day’

As an Excise Tax and Customs Executive, you will:

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of fiscal stamps to production centers based on the agreed production plan.
  • Ensure PM compliance with all applicable laws governing fiscal stamps management and reporting requirements, including daily/monthly reports on imported excise goods and goods removed from excise suspension, fiscal stamp tracking, reconciliation of fiscal stamp balances with the authorities, and any additional reporting defined by the legislation.
  • Manage import of finished goods, POSM and other materials in compliance with internal procedures and local regulatory requirements, including responsibility for all applicable reporting (EMCS, Intrastat, packaging waste and electronic waste reporting, etc.).
  • Be responsible for brand and price registration.
  • Maintain relevant fiscal and customs documentation in line with internal procedures and local legal regulations.
  • Provide information to relevant stakeholders regarding current or foreseeable issues concerning tax stamps supply and potential customs, excise, or registration related issues etc. to ensure effective internal communication and timely issue resolution.
  • Ensure that service providers from your scope of responsibility perform their activities in line with contract conditions and following up on issues. Controlling that invoices are in line with contract and completed services.
  • Actively participate or initiate improvement initiatives, evaluating, analyzing, and proposing alternatives to improve internal and external customers’ service levels at optimal cost.
  • Maintain professional business relationship and synergy with Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture, Customs Office and other third parties relevant for smooth business execution.
Who we're looking for
  • Minimum 2 -3 years of proven experience in Financial/Administrative roles with focus on taxation, importing/exporting goods, and local regulatory reporting (EMCS, Intrastat, packaging waste, electronic waste).
  • Experience with excise tax and/or import procedures/document preparation will be considered a plus.
  • Practical knowledge of SAP system will be considered as an advantage.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Croatian.
  • Customer focus, strong organizational skills with attention to details.
  • Punctuality and ability to work under strict deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive approach and ability to work independently.
