TAX POLICY ADVISOR (m/f)
We are looking for you:
Kosovo's Ministry of Finance needs your expertise in formulating and implementing national tax policy in its department for Economic Policies, which is responsible for macroeconomics, fiscal policy and international cooperation. The Ministry is drawing up recommendations in these thematic areas for the country’s alignment with the European Union within in the context of the Association Agreement. Other important tasks include designing and implementing double taxation agreements and developing frameworks for persons and organizations with limited tax liability.
Your tasks will involve:
- Supporting the formulation of draft laws and implementation guidelines
- Advising on current issues of tax policy and its implementation
- Assisting in the preparation and conduct of negotiations on double taxation agreements
- Providing training on the above-mentioned topics for ministry staff
- Supporting organisational development measures and improving internal processes
Your profile:
- A university degree in financial management, economics, law or administration
- Several years of professional experience analysing and formulating policies and the related implementation guidelines in a state institution or a tax office
- Very good knowledge of different double taxation models
- Experience working in an international environment would be ideal
- Fluent English
- A basic knowledge of Albanian or willingness to learn it would be an advantage
