Sport&Fitness Coordinator (m/f) - Falkensteiner Punta Skala Resort
Job Summary:
The Sports & Fitness Coordinator is responsible for delivering engaging sports, fitness, and recreational experiences that enhance the overall guest journey. This role leads individual and group fitness sessions, coordinates daily sports activities, maintains sports and fitness facilities, and ensures exceptional guest service while promoting an active and healthy lifestyle consistent with the resort's wellness philosophy.
The Sports & Fitness Coordinator acts as an ambassador of wellness, creating memorable experiences through professionalism, enthusiasm, and personalized service.
The Sports Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and daily operation of all sports and active recreation programs within the resort. The role ensures exceptional guest experiences through innovative programming, high safety standards, professional team leadership, and effective management of sports facilities and equipment. The Sports Manager works closely with Wellness, Guest Experience, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, and Events teams to position the resort as a leading active lifestyle destination.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fitness Programming
- Conduct individual and group fitness classes, including functional training, stretching, mobility, HIIT, circuit training, yoga, Pilates, aqua fitness, or other qualified disciplines.
- Deliver personalized fitness assessments and training sessions.
- Design exercise programs tailored to guests' goals and abilities.
- Promote safe exercise techniques and proper equipment use.
Sports Activities
- Organize and lead daily sports activities and tournaments.
- Facilitate activities such as tennis, padel, football, volleyball, basketball, cycling, hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, or other resort offerings.
- Coordinate family-friendly and children's recreational activities when required.
- Encourage guest participation and create an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere.
Guest Experience
- Provide exceptional, personalized service to all guests.
- Build rapport with guests and proactively recommend activities based on their interests.
- Handle guest inquiries and special requests professionally.
- Gather guest feedback and communicate improvement opportunities to management.
Facility & Equipment Management
- Prepare sports and fitness facilities before daily operations.
- Ensure all equipment is clean, organized, and in excellent working condition.
- Report maintenance needs and safety concerns promptly.
- Monitor inventory of sports and fitness supplies.
Health & Safety
- Ensure all activities comply with resort safety standards.
- Conduct equipment safety inspections.
- Maintain current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents.
- Promote safe participation during all activities.
Administration
- Assist with scheduling activities and classes.
- Maintain attendance records and activity reports.
- Support booking management for private sessions.
- Assist with inventory and equipment control.
Team Collaboration

- Support resort events, wellness retreats, and seasonal programming.
Marketing Support
- Promote sports and fitness programs to guests.
- Participate in photo and video content creation for promotional purposes.
- Encourage guest engagement through wellness initiatives and resort activities.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Recreation, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fitness instruction, sports coordination, or recreation within luxury hospitality, wellness resorts, cruise ships, sports clubs, or fitness centers.
- Experience working with international clientele is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Strong organizational skills

- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage
* This role is based within a hospitality environment, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.
Employment Details:
• Full-time position (40 hours per week), organized in shifts according to operational requirements
• Salary range: EUR 1,843 – EUR 2,125 gross/month, depending on qualifications and experience.
