Our client, Coral Croatia, is the Shell licensee in Croatia. With acquisitions of former APIOS at the beginning of 2021, Coral took over the management of 25 gas stations in Croatia, carrying out the branding process in Shell brand. The retail sites provide high-quality Shell fuels and a wider range of other products. The holding company, Coral S.A., is the continuation of Shell Hellas, a company which operates in Greece since 1926. With approximately 800 retail stations operating in Greece, Cyprus, Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia. They are both part of the leading energy Motor Oil Group based in Greece.

They are currently looking for a new colleague for the position of:

Retail Area Manager (m/f)
Zagreb/Croatia

Main responsibilities:

Ensuring the implementation of the terms of the commercial cooperation agreement and ensures continuity and consistency in the implementation of the value proposition to the client.
Supports and develops Agents by providing help, advice using the appropriate tools.
Ensures and maintains the succession plan of managers in the area of its responsibility by actively participating in the recruitment and distribution processes of petrol stations.
Ensures that Agents train and develop their staff by emphasizing the role of people in contributing to the delivery of the value proposition to customers.
Sets out the business plan of the Agents which agrees with them and which reflects the annual sales/expenses plan. Monitors the results and provides support to the Agents regarding their action plan in order to fill any gaps in the achievement of their goals.
Develops a culture around Safety, Health and Environmental issues, implements procedures, ensures the achievement of agreed objectives. Ensures implementation and compliance with safety procedures and rules.
Schedules and visits the petrol stations according to the work plan. Ensures the competitive position of petrol stations through pricing policy procedures. Constantly monitors competition and market developments in area of responsibility.
Implements and supports Marketing initiatives and Network related actions.
Carry out audits to ensure that procedures and rules are applied.
Conducts detailed checks on fuel stocks, cash and cash balances, tax books and data, third party merchandise, vouchers, gas station expenses (electricity, water, liter measurements, etc.).

Requirements:

University degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
2-3 years of relevant commercial, operational, or retail experience.
Fluent English.
Strong MS Office skills.
Strong leadership potential with the ability to influence and develop others.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license and readiness for regular field work and travel across Croatia.
