Process Engineer Assembly (w/m/d)
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribution to extensive planning and optimization projects of drive systems, battery systems and fuel cells
- Definition of assembly and testing processes, assembly and testing times, tools and equipment
- Design of fabrication layouts in line with project framework conditions
- Drawing up specifications for assembly and testing equipment; request for quotations, definition of comparison criteria, comparison of bids and preparation of investment recommendations
- Drawing up production time schedules, continued monitoring of dates and deadlines and coordination
- Analyses aimed at product cost reduction/process cost optimization and implementation of measures at customer premises
- Process and weaknesses analysis
- Optimization of available production facilities and systems with a view to quality and productivity through introduction of suitable methods and processes
- Assessment of production equipment available at customer and supplier premises and making recommendations for technical optimization
- Calculation of production times, investments and costs as well as economic efficiency calculations
YOUR PROFILE
- Mechanical engineering or engineering management graduate of a university, university of applied sciences or secondary technical college
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in assembly planning, operative control or operations scheduling in the automotive environment
- In-depth knowledge of methods and QM systems (Kaizen, TPM, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, 6Sigma, Shainin)
- Sound knowledge of standard MS-Office applications
- Self-directed approach to work and precise working attitude, reliability
- Flexibility, self-directed initiative and commitment
- Pronounced ability to work in teams, goal orientation, negotiating skills and organizational talent
- Pronounced cost and quality awareness
- Sound spoken and written command of German, confident in conducting negotiations in English
- Readiness for business travel at home and abroad
