Le Méridien Lav, Split, part of Marriott International, the world's largest hotel chain with a portfolio of 8,500+ hotels, is looking for the following position for the Management office:

Personal Assistant to the General Manager (m/f)

We are looking for a responsible, organized and highly motivated person with at least 1 year of experience in the same or similar roles, an excellent command of English language (knowledge of additional foreign languages is an advantage), and strong motivation to work in a high-category hotel.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • managing the director's office in all administrative matters (taking minutes from meetings, managing the director's calendar, and performing other tasks as assigned);
  • close coordination with the Front Office department, particularly Guest Relations, regarding VIP arrivals;
  • responding to guest reviews on social media and other official hotel channels, and regularly preparing and presenting guests reviews' reports;
  • staying up to date on Le Méridien brand standards, and actively ensuring compliance across all hotel departments;
  • tasks related to sustainability, including monitoring and fulfilling requirements for the hotel's sustainability evaluation;
  • managing contracts for leased hotel premises – tracking contract duration and compliance with contractual terms (including cooperation with lawyers), and serving as the contact person for possible emergency situations;
  • preparing, receiving and dispatching mail for the entire company.

We expect from you:
  • a high level of ethics, responsibility and independence
  • strong analytical skills
  • a very high level of confidentiality
  • a team player with strong collaboration skills and flexibility
  • fluency in spoken and written Croatian and English
  • impeccable skills in writing and drafting correspondence, instructions, meeting minutes, etc.
  • strong command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • experience in administrative duties, preferably in a personal assistant role
