Duties

Under the supervision of U.S. Human Resources/Financial Management Officer, the incumbent is responsible for supervision and performance of the full range of human resources functions performed at post, e.g. Locally employed staff HR Management, overseas post's Global Medical Coverage program, provides advice and guidance on Awards program, oversees complete Recruitment procedures at post and payroll for LE employees, income tax withholding process, and helps obtain clarification of complex Social Security, Labor and Tax contributions.

Supervises two HR Assistant positions at Embassy Zagreb.

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five years of professional work experience in positions with a human resources management component and increasing responsibilities.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: In-depth knowledge of Croatian labor laws and social security laws. Detailed knowledge of Local regulations on employment, retirement, health insurance, taxes etc.

Education Requirements:

University degree in a Law, Economics, Human Resources, Business Administration or Psychology is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Fluent English - will be tested. Fluent - Croatian.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have excellent computer skills - Office applications. Must have adequate numerical skills to be able to calculate compensation, severance pay, various benefits etc. Must have excellent organizational skills and excellent communications skills.
