As an international corporation in the field of chemical plants with headquarters in the north of Switzerland, we employ a workforce of around 80 employees. We owe our success to our competent staff with its expertise in process engineering, chemical engineering and project management. On a global level these people design, calculate, test and implement optimal solutions for various challenges in basic chemicals. The chemical plants are built to order by our suppliers. Years of experience in caustic soda evaporation and solidification have founded our leadership in this field.

Kenntnisse und Qualifikationen:
The duties of a technical professional are varied and challenging and include the supervision of the assembly work on the construction site in terms of compliance with quality assurance and manufacturing guidelines as well as contractual agreements. The construction / assembly team is usually contracted by the customer. You are monitoring the entire assembly process from the beginning to the mechanical completion. Further you are pre-commissioning and commissioning the plant until start-up, including training of the customer’s staff. The main focus for this job is pre-commissioning, commissioning and the start-up of plants.
Sound technical training and some years of experience on the job are a must for these challenging tasks as well as outstanding soft skills in interpersonal and cross-cultural communication. You are willing to take on responsibility. To make decisions and to follow procedures are a normal part of your working standard. You are a hands-on and a practical person. In stressful situations you keep on top of things.
Knowledge of piping installation, equipment installation and levelling, welding and instrumentation for process measurement is required. Basic knowledge of civil construction and steel work would be beneficial.
A profound knowledge of English both orally and in writing as well as good PC skills (Word, Excel, and, if possible, MS-Project) round off your profile. German language skills are an additional plus.
Travelling activity covers around 80% of the job, with most of the destinations in the east (China, India, and Arabia, with a few activities in Europe/America).
Depending on the assignment, the duration of the travelling activities can range from a few weeks to several months on the same site without home leave.
