On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team and lead the procurement function in Croatia.

Location: Zagreb

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Develop and implement the national procurement strategy for Croatia, covering direct and indirect procurement, CAPEX, projects, and sites, in alignment with business objectives and Group standards.
Lead and develop the procurement organization, including organizational structure, roles, capabilities, performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
Lead the development and execution of category strategies across all spend areas, including spend analysis, market intelligence, sourcing roadmaps, and contract renewal planning.
Lead competitive sourcing processes, including RFQs, RFPs, e-auctions, and various contracting models, ensuring transparency, auditability, and commercial competitiveness.
Lead critical negotiations covering framework agreements, project contracts, key materials and components, and subcontracting.
Establish and continuously improve a supplier relationship management program, including supplier segmentation, evaluation, performance improvement plans, and escalation management.
Deliver measurable savings and margin improvements through negotiations, specification optimization, value engineering, supplier competition, and volume consolidation.
Ensure full compliance with procurement policies, delegation of authority, legal and tax requirements, and ethical and anti-corruption standards.
Identify and mitigate financial, quality, geopolitical, and delivery risks across the supply chain and maintain appropriate dual-sourcing strategies for critical categories.
Drive continuous improvement of procurement processes and tools.
Collaborate closely with Operations, Projects, Engineering, Finance, Controlling, and Legal to optimize procurement planning and specifications, ensure material and service availability, manage budgets and forecasts, validate savings, optimize working capital, and ensure effective contract and risk management.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

University degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Logistics, Construction, or a related field.
8–10 years of experience in procurement, preferably within a multinational organization.
At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership or management position.
Experience in manufacturing or construction is preferred.
Strong knowledge of the Croatian supplier market.
English language proficiency at B2/C1 level or above.
Strong strategic sourcing and category management skills.
Strong contract negotiation skills and practical knowledge of commercial law.
Good understanding of supply chain risk management.
Strong analytical skills, including spend analysis and market benchmarking.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP and/or D365.
Experience with e-sourcing and e-auction platforms.
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
High level of integrity, ethics, and transparency.
Willingness to travel as required by the responsibilities of the position.
