Construction and Maintenance Engineer (m/f)

Join our client, Coral Croatia, a leading gas station network operating across Croatia! We are seeking a motivated Construction and Maintenance Engineer (m/f) who will be responsible for providing technical support in planning, executing, and supervising construction works, as well as maintaining existing facilities within our gas station network.
Construction and Maintenance Engineer (m/f)
Location: Zagreb with frequent travel across Croatia

Construction Works and Projects:
- Support in preparing technical documentation for new projects and reconstructions
- Monitor construction work execution on-site
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors
- Verify compliance of works with project documentation
- Maintain records of work progress and prepare status reports
Facility Maintenance: - Conduct regular inspections of gas station facilities
- Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance activities
- Organize emergency interventions and repairs
- Maintain maintenance records and cost tracking
- Develop monthly and annual maintenance plans (on the second year he0’ll know how to plan the next year)
Technical and Administrative Tasks: - Prepare cost estimates for maintenance works and investments
- Monitor compliance with construction and environmental regulations
- Participate in tender documentation preparation
- Coordinate with inspection authorities
- Manage technical documentation and archives
Safety and Compliance: - Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards
- Monitor implementation of work safety measures during construction
- Participate in risk assessment development
- Track environmental standards and regulations compliance
Project Support: - Assist in feasibility studies for new locations
- Support renovation and upgrade projects
- Contribute to energy efficiency improvements
- Participate in equipment modernization initiatives
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (university or professional studies)
- Advantage: Experience in commercial facility maintenance and with gas stations or similar retail facilities
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Advanced MS Office skills (particularly Excel and MS Project)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Basic knowledge of Croatian construction regulations and standards
- Understanding of construction materials and methods
- Valid driver's license (Category B) - mandatory
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Willingness to travel frequently within Croatia
