Accounting Manager (m/f)
Zagreb, Croatia
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and supervise the accounting team across multiple locations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality output
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, and fixed assets
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Provide financial analysis to support business decisions
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies and Group requirements
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and timely resolution of audit findings
- Monitor and ensure compliance with tax regulations and other financial reporting requirements
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and improve financial processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification a plus
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP), financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Experience working in a multi-location or international environment is an advantage
- Prior experience in the construction or industrial sectors will be considered an asset.
