Our client, PPD Global, an established company operating in the distribution and development of premium beverage brands is currently looking for new colleague on a position:

Accountant (m/f)
Location: Zagreb

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Posting and control of accounting documentation (incoming invoices, bank statements, cash register, travel expenses, rents, etc.)
  • Allocation of costs into active and passive accruals, and their further monitoring
  • Keeping a book of fixed assets and records of fixed assets, and calculating depreciation in accordance with the accounting standard
  • Performing payment transactions, regularly monitoring and reporting on cash flow to ensure the company meets its financial obligations
  • Communications with banks for documentation updates, guarantees and account management
  • Posting, reconciliation and communication regarding intercompany transactions
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial and statistical reports in accordance with applicable regulations for the needs of financial institutions (Tax Administration, FINA, DZS and HNB)
  • Cooperating with the audit firm during the annual audit
  • Communication with financial institutions, the Tax Administration, banks and auditing
  • Monitoring of applicable regulations in the field of finance, accounting and taxes, and their application
  • Maintain and archive financial records and documents according to company standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Knowledge of working in SAP is an advantage
  • Working skills in MS Office tools, especially in MS Excel
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and financial reporting (knowledge of IFRS accounting standards is an advantage)
  • Reliability and a responsible approach to work, with a degree of independence and initiative in work, and respect for deadlines
  • Fluency in English both writing and speaking.
