The U.S. Embassy Zagreb is seeking an individual for the temporary position of Voucher Examiner in the Financial Management Office.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Position is responsible for examining and auditing vouchers for a total of 26 accounts at Embassies Zagreb and Podgorica. Prepares vouchers for certifying officer’s signature. Verifies and controls electronic payment process between GFS Charleston, Zagrebacka banka (ZB), and vendors, working directly with GFSC, ZB and vendors to resolve problems. Monitors, maintains, and reconciles records. Backs up the other voucher examiner, and completes other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
NOTE: All applicants are instructed to address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each criteria.

1. Completion of secondary school is required.
2. Must have at least two years of experience in fiscal clerical work, accounting, and voucher examining.
3. Language ability - Level III (good working knowledge) in English and Croatian level IV (fluent) language is required.
4. Must have excellent knowledge of MS Office applications.
5. Must be detail-oriented, precise, and able to follow procedures.

SELECTION PROCESS
When equally qualified, Eligible Family Members and U.S. Veterans will be given preference. Therefore, it is essential that all candidates address the required qualifications above in the application.

1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and visa
status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
