Job Summary:
The Geometric Characterisation Engineer will process measurement and scan data into parametric designs and manufacturing specifications. Interface with the capture campaign leader, geometric capture leader and NPI project leaders.
Essential Functions
- Process data captured from measurement campaigns into baseline geometric data for NPI Projects
- Support the 3D geometric capture team to process tactile measurements, surface scanning and & post processing measurement data.
- Coordinate with the system integration leaders (SIL)
- Provide processed data to GT oOEM engineering functions, for the purpose of NPI, RCA and repair development.
- Maintain and document field experience feedback.
- Execute procedures and methods within the greater oOEM team including the understanding of engineering tools and measurement systems.

Znanja i kvalifikacije:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent engineering degree
- Experience with design applications including Catia, NX & Geomagic or similar.
- Experience in mechanical design and familiar with GE/Alstom design procedures.
- Good understanding of turbomachinery, ideally with experience with GT’s
- Experience in the design & development of new products and upgrades
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and success working across internal business functions
- Written and spoken English
Desired Characteristics:
- Working experience in NPI (design / project execution)
- Prior working experience with GE/Alstom gas turbine technology
- Familiar with PLM document management system.
- Technical aptitude, including an understanding of engineering tools and measurement systems
- Familiarity with product data management tools
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Interpersonal and leadership skills
