The U.S. Embassy Zagreb is seeking an individual for the position of Guard in the Security Section.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Performs guard service to safeguard the U.S. Embassy in Zagreb, its annexes, official residences and other USG facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
NOTE: All applicants are instructed to address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each criteria.
1. Completion of Secondary School is required.
2. One year of experience in a security related field is required.
3. English language ability - Level II (limited knowledge), and fluency Level IV in Croatian is required.
4. Possession of a valid driver’s license (cat B) is required.
5. Must work shifts, weekends and holidays. Must pass background check.

SELECTION PROCESS
When equally qualified, Eligible Family Members and U.S. Veterans will be given preference. Therefore, it is essential that all candidates address the required qualifications above in the application.

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and visa
status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
