The successful candidate will work in the area of Software Licences management and compliance, by ensuring that all software purchases and maintenance are optimized and that usage is in compliance with the entitlements or contracts and agreements in place.
The main responsibilities may include:
• Keep an update detailed overview and control on the total Europol’s Software portfolio;
• Understand in detail each contract/software manufacturer license schemes, in order to optimize Europol’s portfolio and costs;
• Provide regular information to management and to auditors whenever required, on Software portfolio, costs and compliance, and TCO;
• Hold awareness sessions for users on specific software products and solutions, and related contracts and licence schemes, whenever necessary;
• Perform any other related task assigned by the Head of the Business Area.

Your profile:
We are looking for technical officers from all EU Member States, who have:
• Working experience in the area of Information Technology or related, in particular with software products;
• Proven experience with software asset management;
• Sound knowledge of recent Microsoft and other major manufacturers Server and Desktop, software products and licensing schemes;
• Capacity to troubleshoot/adapt/design new, processes and practices, on the area of software management.
Indicative monthly salary: approx. EUR 3.200 (net without allowances) and approx. EUR 4.600 (net with allowances – if applicable) (This indicative salary calculation took into account the expatriation, household and 1 dependent child allowance.)
In addition, if applicable, allowances such as expatriation allowance, household allowance, dependent child allowance and education may be granted. Europol also offers a comprehensive welfare package.
