Job description
Job purpose: Perform Engineering detailed design on current projects for onshore /offshore projects and to fulfill Departmental needs and support engineering operation within the Company.
Reporting lines and interactions:
Hierarchically and operationally reports to: Mechanical Department Head and Package Equipment, Operationally reports to Project Director / Project Manager.
Directly supervises: Several Lead Engineers / Senior Engineers, in multi-tasking environment
Key interactions (internally, externally):
Internally: Other Engineering Disciplines Lead, TP Inspector/Buyer/Expeditor, DCC Controller, Project Manager/Project Engineer/Project secretary
Externally: Client, JV Partners, Equipment Suppliers/ Sub-suppliers, Third-party, Inspector or Certifying Authorities, QA/HSE Auditor

Typical background and experience required: Must have
The Candidate shall posses a RECOGNISED Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. Hons) or Equivalent, good in planning, organizing, good team-work, very fluent in professional English (oral /written) with good communication skill.
1.) Possess at least minimum 15 years of Engineering DESIGN experience in handling various Package Equipment for Onshore/Offshore application (in Detailed Engineering DESIGN) ie. Process Packages, Utility Packages, Material Handling equipment, and in particular specialized in the field of Fire Equipment, WHRU, Boiler & Flare & Furnaces, at least in Lead Mechanical Engineer position for minimum 5 years in EPC working environment (completion of at least 2 major EPC Jobs), including handling Contractual matters /V.O. with Client,
2.) be able to plan & organized Fired Equipment deliverables, and Lead a team of Mechanical Engineers for oil & gas Offshore topsides detailed design projects /FPSO Topsides design / Onshore refinery projects (if assigned as Project Lead Mechanical Engineer in Senior Mechanical Engineer)
3.) be able to review Engineering specifications /Technical Requisitions/ perform Equipment selection for Client approval in fast-track environments and CONDUCT technical clarification meetings with potential Bidders /Clients / JV Partners Design and attendance to various Clients’ meeting in multi-tasking environment,
4.) be thorough with the Technical standards and good engineering practices of international oil companies (Shell DEP/ Petronas PTS, Total Spec etc), in addition to international codes such as API, ASME/ANSI , NFPA, NACE, EN and ISO.
