Engineer for Casting Technology
The Powertrain Organization is responsible for the development and global implementation of new generations of engines and transmissions. For our Manufacturing Engineering Casting & Forging Team we are looking for a casting engineer with in-depth experience of complex castings such as engine blocks and cylinder heads made of aluminum and with knowledge of the available casting processes.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Support of our product development team to ensure the feasibility of cast components
- Attendance during prototype casting phases up to series production at the shop floor
- Evaluation of casting simulations and evaluation of optimization proposals
- Support of purchasing and supplier technical assistance departments during supplier selection
- Support of our Research Center with regard to the development of new materials, processes and products
- Close teamwork with internal and external development, manufacturing and research teams

Your Profile:
- Excellent university degree in casting technology or mechanical engineering
- Course specialization and deep knowledge in the field of casting & forging technology
- Sound work experience with regard to manufacture and process development of cast components
- Broad knowledge of the different casting technologies, materials and heat treatment processes
- Experiences in dealing with customers and suppliers
- Strong capability to work in international teams and to communicate effectively
- Strong analytical skills
- Proactive, independent and assertive working style
- English and ideally German fluent (written and spoken)
- International traveling is part of the job requirements
