Category Specialist
The position includes:
• Support to the Category Manager in development and implementation of local strategy for the respective category
• Daily and continuous communication and relationship with suppliers as well as developing new suppliers
• Maintenance of supplier and article database
• Monitoring of supplier contacts
• Support to Category Manager in research
• Monitoring of category development in terms of prices, promotions, assortment and quality of products
• Active member of METRO Mail team
• Active negotiations with suppliers keeping in mind METRO sustainability
• Building attractive assortment having in mind quality and quantity
• Preparation of fairs and promotions
