Senior Development Engineer Combustion Process Development (f/m/d)
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performance & emission development of large Diesel, gas and dual fuel engines for marine, gen-set, off-road and locomotive applications
- Calibration of engine and exhaust aftertreatment systems (ECU, DCU)
- Planning, preparation, execution, monitoring, as well as result analysis and assessment of test bed development projects in Graz, at AVL’s affiliates or at customers on-site
- Documentation of project work, reporting, and customer meetings
- Laboring in international customer and internal research & development projects
- Collaboration with engineers of other relevant skill teams
- Technical correspondence with suppliers
- Part project management
- Instruction and responsibility for the complete test bed work
- Face to the customer
YOUR PROFILE
- Completed degree of a Technical university in Mechanical Engineering, Doctor’s Thesis is a plus
- 10 years extensive experience in engine development and test bed work
- Extensive knowledge in thermodynamics, combustion & fuel injection systems, and large engine applications in the high speed class especially
- Broad knowledge in AVL‘s emission (AMA, FTIR, Smart Sampler, Soot in oil, etc.) and indication measurement technology
- Experience with the calibration tool INCA
- Self-reliance, proactive personal engagement, troubleshooting competence, dedicated commitment and capacity for teamwork
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- German language skills is a plus
