We are currently looking for a Sales Representative to promote and sell our advanced and innovative APV products to hospitals and healthcare professionals in Adriatic region.

A Day in the Life

The main purpose of this role is to sell and promote the innovative range of Medtronic APV products.
The jobholder is primarily responsible for selling the full range of products in assigned accounts or regions in a professional manner to hospitals and related healthcare professionals, as well as for the management of quality and consistency of product and service delivery. You will deliver defined sales targets, develop and maintain network of accounts to expand the utilization of device therapies, diagnostics and monitoring for the disease management, according to current and future guidelines:

Selling and account support

  • Deliver defined sales targets.
  • Maintain and grow market share with strategic accounts.
  • Provide technical support to physicians as per specific business unit (SBU) and therapy requirements.
  • Develop and drive activities that enhance and strengthen the network between implanting centres and referring physicians.
  • Develop projects that address the use of our therapies for defined niche areas (i.e. rehabilitation clinics, Transplant units).

Relationship Management

  • Build strong and lasting relationships with key decision makers and those influential in the purchasing process.
  • Coordinate and liaise with the District Manager and District Sales force before delivering services within the District.

Education / Training

  • Educate referring physicians on clinical evidence of defined therapies, demonstrating improved patient outcomes.
  • Conduct peer-to-peer trainings on a regional level and generate interest for implant-procedure training.

Internal and administrative

  • Report all account, market and competitive information and trends and metrics in a comprehensive, complete and timely fashion, using defined tools like for example sales force.com.
  • Report immediately and accurately all negative customer or product related events (e.g., customer feedback, product and legal issues and risks…etc).

Must haves:

  • University degree.
  • Proven track record of experience in sales and delivering results in the healthcare industry or similar.
  • Experience in working effectively with sales force, physicians, nurses and hospital technicians.
  • Experience in operating in a matrix environment
  • Sound Account Management and negotiation skills.
  • Competency to build strong business relationship with customers.
  • Native / Fluent local language (Croatian / Slovenian).
  • Fluent English both written and spoken.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Willingness to travel (over 50% of time).

Nice to Haves:

  • Degree in medical science or biomedical engineering
  • Experience in working in distributor environment (preferred, but not necessary)
  • Advanced product knowledge
