On behalf of our Client we are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to live on the beautiful Croatian island of Lopud and manage the property.

The 15th century monastery is located on the small island of Lopud, situated off the cost of Dalmatia in southern Croatia. The Lopud Island is economically the most developed of the Elaphiti Islands and can be reached by boat from Dubrovnik, Trsteno, Orašac and Zaton. The island is famous for its sandy beaches, striking scenery and culturally rich heritage.

The monastery will have a dual use, it will be used as a high profile destination conference venue and for the exhibition of renaissance art.

Property manager - Croatian monastery (m/f)
Location: Lopud
Principal tasks and responsibilities
  • Coordinate events held on the property in conjunction with external event organizers
  • Liaise with external parties including exhibition and event organizers
  • Host guests staying on the property
  • Liaise with all contractors, including landscapers, conservationists and tradesmen
  • Attend to the general upkeep of the property
  • Assist in all related matters in coordination with collection managers and curators
  • Keep records of costs and prepare relevant reports
Skills and experience
  • Fluent in English and Croatian
  • Experience in property management and development
  • Experience in event coordination
  • Ability to prepare monthly cash flow budgets and reports
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Basic knowledge of technical systems in buildings or interest to be educated about it
