Musgrove Park Hospital is part of Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. We are a district general hospital located in a RURAL AREA providing care to a population of over 340,000. We also provide some specialist services for the whole of Somerset, making our catchment population around 544,000.
The hospital has over 700 beds, 30 wards, 15 operating theatres, a fully equipped diagnostic imaging department and a purpose built cancer treatment centre which includes outpatient, chemotherapy day care, radiotherapy and inpatient facilities.

+ Registered Nurses with PIN from NMC and Non-registered Nurses may also apply - see conditions below:
Candidates who require IELTS to gain NMC registration:
+ Fixed term HCA contract at Band 3. Starting salary is £16,800 per annum.
+ 9 months accommodation provided within reasonable travel distance to the hospital
+ First 2 months accommodation is Free
+ Flight to the UK- cost reimbursed to candidate once started. Flight cost up to £200. This must be claimed within 3 months of arriving.
+ Transfer from Bristol Airport provided.
+ IELTS study funded by the Trust- 20 week course at local college.
+ 1x IELTS exam cost reimbursed by the Trust.
+ Upon Level 7 IELTS achievement- permanent Nurse contract offered.
+ First year NMC registration cost reimbursed £230.
+ Offer of flight to visit home (1x Standard Economy flight from Bristol to the home country – single trip refunded up the value of £200).
IELTS Tuition
+ We have linked with the local college (Somerset College) to provide a 20 week programme of study and support.
+ The classes will be taught at the college and progress managed by them in collaboration with the trust.
+ The cost is being covered by the trust. If additional support beyond the 20 weeks is required this will be discussed on a case by case basis but may be at the cost of the candidate.
+ 1x exam cost will be reimbursed to the candidate by the Trust.
Conditions for Registered Nurses with NMC PIN
+ Permanent Band 5 Contract- starting salary £21,909 per annum.
+ Free accommodation for 2 months, within reasonable travel distance to the Hospital (whilst they look for their own) or up to £800 toward external accommodation
+ Flight to the UK- cost reimbursed to candidate once started employment. Flight cost up to £200. This must be claimed within 3 months of starting.
+ Transfer from Bristol Airport provided.
+ First year NMC registration cost reimbursed £230
+ £1000 retention bonus after 12 months of employment at the Trust (repayable pro rata if candidate leaves the trust within the subsequent 12 months)
+ Offer of flight to visit home (1x Standard Economy flight from Bristol to the home country – single trip refunded up the value of £200)
+ Start Dates to be arranged for as soon as possible.
