Die Casting Technician (m/f/d) role is the “first responder” role on die casting machine. Key tasks include operating die casting machine, train production associates to operate die casting machine, troubleshoot quality issues, troubleshoot equipment failures, respond to out-of-control process, work with a cross functional team on yield improvement projects. Manage workload with a positive attitude as a team player in a collaborative work environment.
DESCRIPTION:
- As process technician in die casting, you will support the process engineer (m/f/d) in developing optimal processes and workflows so that our team finds safe and ergonomic workplaces in the foundry
- During product start-ups and product changes, you will assist in the development of standard work steps and workflows and be heavily involved in prototype setups
- You support the training of new work processes and train employees (m/f/d) in them
- You have experience in handling jigs and quality measuring tools and you support Lean Production and 5S activities
- You coordinate and participate in set-up and setup processes
PROFILE:
- You have vocational training as a foundry mechanic (m/f/d) or die casting technician (m/fd) or comparable qualification from the foundry industry
- You have several years of experience in setting up, adjusting and optimizing die casting, ideally already experience with IDRA die casting machines and Fanuc robots
- Certificates on die casting or process technologies are desirable (training courses on spray technology, robot programming, casting curves, etc.)
- You already have experience in process optimization, for example lean production
- You have experience in handling jigs and quality measuring tools
- You bring a hands-on mentality, as well as the willingness to work shifts in a 4-shift system
- You are fluent in English or/and German
