Role Summary/Purpose:
Reporting to the CEO South East Europe, this position supports and follows-through on market development and sales activities of GE Steam Power Systems in Croatia and Slovenia, Kosovo.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Accountable for driving sales for assigned accounts/territories and for achieving set financial KPIs.
- Uses SFDC platform to track all deals and to provide updates on key project milestones. continuous basis and ensures deal information is kept current and relevant
- Conduct marketing assessment and data analysis
- Identify new potential customers and develop business with existing customers. Support local customer-base expansion by preparing presentations, proposals, and marketing documentation
- In partnership with the compliance team ensure comprehensive due diligence is conducted for each customer in line with GE compliance standards
- Develop winning sales strategy & capture plan, based on Steam Power Systems’ differentiators and value proposition
- Promote/sell capture strategy to both external (end-user, developer, EPC-contractor, partner, consultant) and internal stakeholders (SPS Sales, SPS Projects/Product lines, Strategic Accounts)
- Work closely with tendering team to consolidate offer in line with capture strategy and negotiate deal with strong terms for Steam Power Systems
- Partners with steam business development team, GGO, GPS, EM and SP colleagues to qualify opportunities, influence technology choice, drive higher GE scope, and capture deals
- Government relations, interaction with local authorities, decision-makers and businesses
- Support the expansion of GE’s supply chain in the region by collecting industry data, identifying potential suppliers, conducting reference checks

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, alternatively in an Engineering or Business discipline
- Strong sales/commercial experience within industrial company or financial institution
- Power generation industry background is desired
- Fluent Croatian, good English skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Multitasking, high communication skills
- Strong track record of results
- Project management experience / operations experience
- Ability to travel regularly

- Ability to influence cross-functional business teams to embrace and drive sales strategy and growth in the region,
- Proven successes in managing complex sales projects and implement appropriate partnerships with a vast spread of stakeholders, both within and outside the region.
- Deep knowledge of global and regional market economics and competitive issues, project development and financing
- Success in developing influential customer relationships; viewed as a trusted advisor. Deep knowledge of local Power Utility Companies, including their key influencers at both operational and management level
