Head of Sales MICE & Sports (m/f)
YOUR TASKS:
- Leading a team of 2 sales managers and 3 Event & Banquet Sales Coordinators - strong focus on MICE (incentives) and Sports business
- Development, implementation and optimization of general sales strategy and action plan for the MICE and Sports segment at Falkensteiner Resort Punta Skala, Fortis Club and Falkensteiner Club Funimation Borik across Croatia and international markets (with main focus on Germany, UK, Benelux)
- Identification and development of new sales channels and opportunities in the relevant markets
- Development of sports and incentive segments – as well as special programs, packages and events
- Regular alignment with the General Managers of the hotels of responsibility and pro-active proposal of packages and promotions according to the hotels’ positioning and needs
- Pro-active Key Account Management (total account management) and strategic client management in order to achieve sales targets and generate new business, including the negotiation and closing of contracts with agencies, companies and networks
- Planning of and representation at trade fairs, workshops and client events
- Organization of sales trips, sales calls and fam trips
- Planning and briefing of B2B trade marketing actions for the responsible area in cooperation with the Marketing department
- Development and management of local, regional & corporate partnerships
- Ensuring activities (sales calls, fairs, workshops) are stored correctly in systems (i.e. Protel)
- Implementation and ensuring of sales data quality to drive meaningful and smart campaigns to increase overall revenue
- Recruiting, training, mentoring and developing of the Sales Managers MICE&Sport and Event & Banquet Coordinators
YOUR PROFILE:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the sale of upscale hotels (4 star, 5 star) in a comparable leadership position
- Proven track record and strong international network
- Deep understanding of the needs and attitudes of the international MICE and Event market and its players
- Passion for sports, high end incentives and events with special experiences
- Deep understanding of customer needs
- Negotiating skills and flexibility
- High customer and service orientation
- A high degree of initiative and a purposeful way of working
- Clearly structured and with good organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and good leadership capabilities
- Able to set priorities
- Analytical capabilities
- Very good English knowledge, additional languages (specially German) of advantage
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint), knowledge of Protel or other PMS systems of advantage
- Good presentation skills
- Driving licence and willingness to travel
