About Your Role
- As Group Data Governance Specialist, you coordinate and streamline the annual BCBS 239 compliance self-assessment across all Addiko Bank Group Entities, ensuring a structured and efficient approach
- You prepare and execute annual and multi-year data validation plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives
- You perform rigorous data validation activities, using methods such as analytical testing, inquiry, observation, inspection, and reperformance to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of key data processes
- You document, prioritize, and track data validation findings, collaborating with relevant teams to develop actionable plans and oversee their resolution
- You prepare detailed data validation reports, including compliance levels, results, significant findings, and recommendations for improvement, supporting transparent communication and accountability
- You continuously report data validation assessments and progress updates to the Data Governance Committee, fostering alignment with organizational goals and regulatory expectations
- You contribute to the enhancement of data governance practices by advising on quality standards, assisting in defining data quality rules, and offering insights based on data validation findings
Is This You?
- You are innovative and motivated to shape a new role, defining data validation processes and establishing best practices, backed by 3–5 years of experience in data governance or data quality management and a relevant degree
- You have strong expertise in data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, Python, SQL) and a solid understanding of data governance, quality frameworks, and database structures
- You are familiar with BCBS 239 principles, data governance frameworks, and regulatory standards in the financial industry, with a proactive approach to staying informed about emerging trends and tools
- You excel in identifying anomalies, assessing root causes, and applying testing techniques like analytical testing, observation, and re-performance, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all your work
- You are fluent in English and Croatian, effectively communicating complex data concepts in both languages, with proficiency in Slovene or German as a valuable advantage
- You communicate findings clearly through detailed reports and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, demonstrating excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
