Design Engineer - Civil/Structural (m/f)
Design Engineer [Civil/Structural] (m/f) – Dublin, Ireland
AA Euro Croatia is a member of AA Euro Group Ltd. We are a specialist Recruitment Consultancy operating globally. We recruit for jobs in Ireland and Europe across the Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing, Security, Finance & HR.
We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer for one of Ireland’s largest Civil Engineering contractors. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working on civil engineering projects or will have strong structural and civil background. This is a permanent role based in our clients head office in Dublin. Our clients are a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy in Ireland.
The Role:
- Undertake engineering analysis and prepare calculations for structural and civil engineering projects.
- Be proficient in the use of relevant technical analysis and design software.
- Lead design meetings, site meetings and carry out site inspections.
- Mentor and guide Graduate/Junior Engineers.
- Provide technical support to include report writing and presentations.
- Analysis and design of structures in steel, timber, and masonry.
- Prepare structural and Civil engineering drawings and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate sub consultants and specialist designers.
- Maintain all necessary records.
Requirements:
- Third Level Degree in Civil Engineering or related Degree.
- A minimum of 3 years’ relevant post-graduate engineering experience on bridge projects and possibly large civil structural projects (for example shipping ports).
- Excellent communication & report writing skills.
- Strong client facing interaction experience.
- Stakeholder Management
- Excellent in verbal and written English
- Croatian or any other EU citizenship is mandatory
