Our client, a successful audit firm with international experience, present on the Croatian market for over 20 years is expanding its audit team in Zagreb due to growing business demands.

For their office in Zagreb, they are currently looking for new colleague on a position:

Audit Manager / Certified Auditor (m/f)
Location: Zagreb

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Auditing financial statements and providing other audit-related services Leading and coordinating the audit team and supervising the completion of audit tasks
  • Analyzing and assisting senior auditors with complex issues and specific financial statement positions
  • Providing expert opinions on accounting matters and the application of financial reporting standards (IFRS, Croatian Financial Reporting Standards – CFRS)
  • Actively communicating with clients to understand their business and identify key operational risks; closely monitoring the needs of assigned clients
  • Understanding, monitoring, and applying relevant accounting and audit laws and regulations
  • Coordinating and supervising the work of, and mentoring, primarily senior auditors within the team
  • Participating in the organization of training and development activities for junior team members
  • Contributing to the development of audit methodology and improving work processes, including the adoption of new audit tools
  • Supporting the acquisition of new audit clients
  • Other tasks and responsibilities related to the role of an Audit Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in audit
  • andatory possession of a Certified Auditor license issued by the Croatian Audit
  • Chamber / Ministry of Finance
  • University degree in economics (specialization in finance or accounting is an advantage)
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and tax regulations, CFRS and IFRS
  • Methodical, analytical, and detail-oriented approach
  • Accuracy, motivation, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Efficiency and precision in performing daily tasks
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulousness, and sense of responsibility for the team's audit work
  • High level of professionalism, independence, accountability, and personal integrity
  • Leadership skills and effective time management abilities
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken (German is a plus)
  • Driving license (Category B) is desirable
