For a Dutch Client of ours, Few Good Geeks Oy is looking for a Software Engineer/PLC Programmer with 3 - 5 Years of experience in a relevant position.
We need candidates driven by curiosity and willingness to grow in this broad function.
1.1 About the client
The client is a leading provider of technologies for automatic assembly, automatic operation and automatic handling of various products. The client designs and realizes the optimal solution for automatic assembly, processing, and handling in production systems 24/7 with a high accuracy and output. Whether it is for the heads of modern razors, plastic injection molded products, medical devices, gas discharge lamps, lighters, parts for automatic gearboxes or micro lenses. The developed technologies for automated operation by the client include bringing together and completing the parts, machining of the parts, automated assembly of the parts into a final product, and finally the inspection of the end result.
1.2 The Job
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for designing, programming, configuring, testing and commissioning (on the customer's location) of machine control systems (PLC systems)
• Responsible for writing a control program; this is done using standard development tools for the PLC (mainly Siemens S7 programmed in structured text)
• You will be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and fellow software engineers

• A bachelor degree
• Experience with PLC systems (preferably Siemens S7, Bachmann or Beckhoff TwinCAT 3)
• Experience/knowledge of object oriented programming is a plus
• Knowledge of programming in structured text

• Good communication skills
• Can hold his own
• Able to work independently and in teams
• Able to write software on the basis of a specification, tests and commissioning
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position
