We offer • Competitive salary • Free meal and accomodation • Paid vacation after each 6 months rotation POSITION: Septic Sewage Truck Heavy Duty Mechanic OBJECTIVE: The role of the SST Heavy Duty Mechanic is to provide routine maintenance and corrective maintenance to a wide variety of vehicles and machinery including the Septic Sewage Truck. He/she will perform routine and corrective maintenance on both mobile and stationary hydraulic and internal combustion engine powered systems as well as the septic tank and vacuum systems of the truck. ACCOUNTABLE TO: Workshop Foreman ACCOUNTABLE FOR: None PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • perform routine preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment • diagnose and correct faults ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to all safety and HAZMAT policies as provided by employer |

| Znanja i kvalifikacije: | KNOWLEDGE AND CORE SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: • Must be able to quickly and accurately troubleshoot most vehicle and equipment problems, be they mechanical, electrical or hydraulic. • Must have working knowledge of automotive style electrical systems • Must have a working knowledge of industrial hydraulic systems • Must have experience and knowledge for the tank, vacuum and pump system for the Septic Sewage Truck. • Must have a good working knowledge of the English language both written and spoken • Must be able to read an comprehend service manuals and service procedures written in English Desired: • Working knowledge of fire apparatus • Working knowledge of airfield ground support equipment CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: • Minimum of a diploma or a trade certification from an accredited authority • Minimum 5 years experience in related positions EQUIPMENT OPERATED: • General Mechanics hand tools • Electrical test and calibration equipment • Hydraulic repair equipment i.e. hose crimping machinery • Recovery vehicles • All airfield ground support equipment for maintenance • Fire trucks for maintenance purposes • Septic Sewage Trucks for maintenance purposes • Forklifts for maintenance purposes • Cargo trucks for maintenance purposes • Buses for Maintenance purposes • ATVs for maintenance purposes WORKING CONDITIONS: • Must be able to work in a hostile environment, hot in summer and cold in winter and often very dusty conditions • Must be able to work with a wide variety of hazardous materials commonly found in any repair or maintenance shop • Must be able to work outside in all kinds of weather when called upon • Must be able to work flexible hours and take turns at after hours duty recovery, sometimes working for long periods at a time to repair critical equipment • Must be able to work in a close environment with fellow workers and share accommodations as required |
