Job Summary
The Wag Pac Heavy Equipment Mechanic will maintain all equipment which is vital to the success of the rental company. They will have a majority of Client interface and because of this the Mechanic must lead by example and represent a high degree of competency and professionalism at all times. Responsible for managing all aspects of the equipment maintenance with the highest priority focused on aspects of Safety, Security, Health and Environmental. Successful performance is directly dependent on how effectively the rental business operates.
Major Responsibilities
• Manages equipment maintenance to meet changing needs and requirements
• Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
• Ensures project documents are complete, current, organized and stored appropriately
• Motivates the team to provide the best customer service possible
• Communicates regularly and clearly with the Rental Manager
• Develops Client relationships to maintain business
• Ensures equipment compliance with local and site requirements
• Coordinates local procurement of parts, consumables and tools
• Reviews and understands Prime Contracts as well as Subcontracts for compliance with documentation requirements
• Strives to maximize rental revenue and utilization of equipment

Qualifications
• Heavy Machinery Maintenance Experience
• Basic computer skills
• Maintains positive attitude though challenging situations
• Experience working with various equipment (i.e. excavators, cranes, man lifts, tele-handlers, generators, etc.)
• Fluent in English
