Lead Instrument Engineer (m/f)
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
General - Reporting lines and interactions:
- Reports to Manager - Engineering & Projects
- Work on large or complex engineering projects, or several small projects with complex features
- Apply extensive and diversified knowledge of instrument engineering methodologies and design in project execution and department training
- Supervise/coordinates a team of Junior engineers or designers, as required by Project Scope; and
- Interface with other disciplines during project execution

Job scope (Specific criteria):
- Prepares Project deliverable list for the discipline in conjunction with Project Engineering, Manager
- Prepares Project Design Specifications on the basis of local regulations, international codes/best
- practice and customer requirements
- Assist/Support the Project Engineering Manager during the execution of 3D Model Review, Hazop and SIL
- Manages the Instrument List, I/O, Alarms & Set Points and Cable Schedule
- Supervise the preparation of Architectural Drawings
- Coordinates the Software and Hardware freezing
- Prepares Technical Supply Specifications for instrumentation materials
- Prepares MTO and Material Requisitions
- Performs technical bid analysis and vendor data checking; and
- Preparation of Subcontracting Packages
Profile:
- Associated degree with APEGA PE License required
- Additional licensing in other provinces is desirable
- Must have recent experience in hands-on design, engineering and Revamp work
- Must be familiar with Local Regulations and International Design code
- Ten years experience
- Lead/supervisory/mentoring skills
- Proficient with Smartplant Instrumentation
- Proficient with MS Office Package
