Infrastructure Architect (m/f)
- South East Europe -
Job Description:
The Infrastructure Architect will work closely with peer architects, engineers, and identified customers, to ensure that technical needs of business are met.
He/she will act as a “hands on” subject matter expert for the underlying system, virtualization, compute, storage and other technologies as they relate to all company products. The proper candidate should have knowledge of system architecture (Linux, Tomcat) and cloud frameworks (IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS) as well as extensive solution design, POC, and implementation experience.
Role and responsibilities include:
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to leadership
• Develop and maintain standards and principals for infrastructure architecture
• Decompose business requirements, identify and challenge assumptions, design/implement technical solutions
• Develop and oversee technical proof of concepts for all new technology
• Provide technical coaching and knowledge sharing with engineering staff
• Continually evaluate the environment, identify inefficiencies and research improvements
• Maintain awareness of developing standards, emerging technology, and industry trends
• Interact with vendor’s technical representatives and perform RFP/RFI response design reviews
• Assist in continuous improvement of technical operations and procedures
• Assist in project and capacity planning and support technical operations when needed
• Maintain a professional appearance and a positive attitude
• Must be able to support customer facing requirements gathering and support as needed

Znanja i kvalifikacije:
Required Experience and Skills:
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience within large scale or service provider environments.
• 2+ years of developing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure architectures.
• History of successful research, design, and implementation cycles.
• Strong experience with Linux (CentOS), Tomcat, MySQL, and ActiveMQ.
• Strong experience with multiple virtualization, storage, and server platforms. Vmware preferred.
• “Full-stack” understanding of technology, from software to bare metal hardware.
• Understanding of cloud frameworks (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
