Summary:
We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to participate in the development of complex analog and digital safety products from concept through production, responsible for the complete design, validation and qualification of the product. This position will report directly to the Safety Components Engineering Manager and will be required to work with senior and peer level members in the design, development, validation, release, manufacturing, production and support of safety sensing products. Creativity and the ability to work in teaming environment are essential.
Duties will include: evaluating feasibility of product design proposals; creating and maintaining technical requirements, specifications and other supporting documents; designing and validating the sensor device electrically and functionally; determining design approaches, techniques, and algorithms based on product specification and reliability/quality requirements; defining engineering tests to support design and production; writing microprocessor code to test sensing and other hardware concepts.

BS in Electrical Engineering or MS (preferred)

Experience Required:
Good analog and digital circuit design fundamentals
Strong analytical skills
Understanding of PCB layout, EMI reduction techniques, modeling as well as electrical simulation
Strong lab skills
One product launch experience from concept development to product commercial release
Able to work independently translating functional requirements into designs
Motivated to succeed
Good communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with imaging hardware and firmware technologies
Experience with sensor technologies
Experience with MPU and GPU design
C programming
EMI and CE compliance testing
Experience with IEC and UL specifications
Understanding of industrial automation
Understanding of Functional Safety
