DELICATESSEN ASSISTANT
We are looking for customer-focused Delicatessen Assistant who will be responsible for the preparation of high quality hot and cold food products and for ensuring customer satisfaction is the number one priority.
- Previous customer service experience in delicatessen, fast food or hospitality is necessary
- Full time position (40-45 hours a week)
- Permanent position (minimum of 12 months contract)
- Salary range from €18-22K per year, paid on weekly basis
- For the successful candidate, flight over and four weeks accommodation will be provided
Main duties:
- Cook, prepare and display the foods sold throughout the day
- Prepare customer orders across all delicatessen areas i.e. make sandwiches and baguette, serve hot and cold foods (soup, chicken, salami, cheese, olives, salads)
- Demonstrate your passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers
- Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store policy
- Ensure that the counter displays across all fresh food departments are to the highest standards at all times
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- HACCP training is desirable but not necessary
- Excellent communication skills – basic level of English
- Previous customer service experience is an advantage
- The ability to work as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment and the ability to multi task under pressure
- A passion for food and the ability to inspire customers
