Background:
The company defines services that it offers clients around a number of specific capabilities. One of the key capabilities is ‘Digital Business’ with goal to assist clients in leveraging digital strategies to optimise the delivery of services to our clients' customers.
The scope of the Digital Business Capability includes:
- Portals, including eCommerce
- Traditional Web
- Social Media
- Mobile
- UX (User Experience)
- Analytics
- Enterprise Search
Job Scope:
Act as a senior consultant in the Digital Business capability.
Responsible for defining digital business solutions for clients and developing trusted relationships with senior business and IT stakeholders.
Engage closely with key business partners and play an active part in pre-sales and delivery engagements relating to Digital Business.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead Digital Business engagements with Clients
- Establish trusted relationships with business and technical stakeholders
- Contribute to companie’s Digital Business methodology.
- Determine the appropriate solutions to meet the Client’s Digital Business requirements
- Provide project delivery leadership and expertise including UX and design, and in technical areas such as JavaScript, mobile design and web standards.
- Work with the Capability Manager and Capability Lead Consultant to create and implement plans to grow and improve the Digital Business Capability
- Act as a technical subject matter expert with respect to Digital Business products, technologies and methodologies
- Keep up to date with the latest technologies and trends relevant to the scope of the Capability
- Act as a Digital Business evangelist for the company, working in close co-operation with the Capability Lead Consultant
- Deliver business-focused (e.g. "Digital Business 101") and technical presentations to clients and company internal staff
- Work with the Sales team to pursue and secure Digital Business opportunities
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key business partners in the Digital Business space
- Provide mentoring, training and guidance to other team members, and client staff.

Qualifications:
Ideally (but not limited to) a Computer Science Degree or equivalent.
Skills and Experience:
- Around 10 years general IT experience with 5+ years experience consulting in the web/digital domain.
- Must have extensive architectural or consulting experience with web applications, enterprise portals, and web content management systems,
- Must have at least a working knowledge of mobile application development frameworks and technologies
- Should have deep understanding of user experience design and development
- Should have experience with collaboration, social networking, e-commerce, web marketing and search engine optimisation fundamentals
- Should have a working knowledge of Information Architecture
Other Attributes:
- Ability to undertake independent consulting assignments on client sites
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to inspire, persuade and influence
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to rapidly master new techniques and technologies
- Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks to reach a successful conclusion

- Self-motivated and self-managing
- The ability to travel and conduct business outside of Wellington may be required at times
