Dr. Ian Sutherland

Originally from Newfoundland, Canada, he has developed an active international career as a researcher, educator and musician. Dr. Sutherland’s work crosses many disciplines – principally cultural sociology, leadership studies, social theory, and socio-musicology. Having initially completed degrees in music (Bachelor of Music (Hons.) and Master of Music) at Memorial University, Canada, his PhD in Sociology and Philosophy was completed at the University of Exeter, UK. Prior to joining IEDC he held appointments as Associate Research Fellow at the University of Exeter’s Centre for Leadership Studies and Assistant Professor at Memorial University.

At the heart of Dr. Sutherland’s work is a focus on the myriad and dynamic ways individuals and groups organize themselves and the world around them through enabling capacities of creative processes, cultural products and events. His diverse research includes studies on creativity and social agency of composers in Germany from 1919-1945, the practice of leaders within the 20th century cultural avant garde, the meanings and processes of cultural leadership and issues in community based cultural activities. His current research activities are focused on arts/music based leadership development and practice.

With a deep commitment to research dissemination and education Dr. Sutherland has given guest lectures, seminars and presentations around the world and is a co-founder and editor of the journal Music and Arts in Action. He has published in various journals including: Journal of Arts Management, Law and Society; Journal of Visual Art Practice; Music and Arts in Action. Upcoming publications include a chapter in Musical Imaginations (Oxford University Press) ‘Musical creativity as social agency: Composer Paul Hindemith’, a critical introduction to music sociology with Prof. Tia DeNora (Music Sociology: an Introduction, Polity Press) and a Sage Key Concepts book Leadership with Prof. Jonathan Gosling and Dr. Stephanie Jones.

prof. Alan Žepec

Alan Žepec (rođen 1971.) ima iskustvo u poslovnom sektoru kao vlasnik i predsjednik Uprave građevinske firme Parting sa 130 uposlenih radnika od 1991. godine do 2004. godine. Bio je proglašen mladim menadžerom godine u Hrvatskoj 2002. godine. Socijalno je bio aktivan kao podpredsjednik Hrvatske udruge poslodavaca i predsjednik udruge malih i srednjih poduzetnika od 2003 - 2008. godine.

Od 2006. godine bavi se razvojem lidera te radi kao coach i trener u Hrvatskoj i inozemstvu. Redoviti je predavač Swarovski Akademije te Akademije za Executive Coaching iz Londona

Radan Spaventi, M.D., Ph.D.

Radan Spaventi diplomirao je i doktorirao na Medicinskom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu.

Karijeru u farmaceutskoj industriji počinje u Plivi gdje je od 1995. – 2006. vodio Istraživački institut Plive. U razdoblju od 1999. – 2006. godine Dr. Spaventi ujedno je bio i član Uprave Plive d.d., te Glavni direktor za istraživanje i razvoj .

U Odyssey Pharmaceuticals, Ltd., USA od 2004. - 2005. imao je funkciju višeg potpredsjednika i glavnog direktora za istraživanje i razvoj. Od 2006. – 2010. godine Dr. Spaventi bio je potpredsjednik multinacionalne kompanije GlaxoSmithKline za istraživanje makrolidnih lijekova i predsjednik Uprave GlaxoSmithKline istraživačkog centra Zagreb d.o.o. Dr. Radan Spaventi danas je viši potpredsjednik u Galapagosu NV, te predsjednik Uprave Galapagos istraživačkog centra d.o.o. Prije početka karijere u farmaceutskoj industriji, Dr.Spaventi vodio je Laboratorij za molekularnu patologiju Odjela za molekularnu medicinu na Institutu Ruđer Bošković u Zagrebu. Tijekom karijere višekratno je boravio na stručnom usavršavanju u inozemstvu, a od 1990. - 1991. bio je postdoktorand na Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. Autor je više od 35 znanstvenih radova objavljenih u međunarodnim časopisima, većinom na području molekularne biologije raka, a autor je i urednik četiri knjige. Godine 2004. imenovan je izvanrednim profesorom na Medicinskom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu, a od 2010. i redovitim profesorom na Odjelu za biotehnologiju Sveučilišta u Rijeci. Dobitnik je nagrade Hrvatske akademije znanosti i umjetnosti za doprinos od osobitog i trajnog značenja za Republiku Hrvatsku u području medicinskih znanosti.


Dr. Stephen Benko

Dr. Stephen E. Benkő was born and raised in the United States, a son to a
Hungarian father and Swiss mother. Advancing to a PhD degree in English language, he joined the public service at the US department of State and then the National Security Council in the Reagan and Bush administrations. Returning to his country of origins in 1990, he was the Director of the Citizens Democracy Corps of the Visegrád countries, and later, Consultant to the World Bank based in Budapest.

He joined Egon Zehnder International in 1999 and immediately was promoted to Office Manager of the newly independent Budapest office. As a senior member of the team, he brings an impressive track record in serving Hungarian clientele in all sectors, with emphasis those from the Financial Services (including Private Equity) and the Technology and Communications sectors. He is also a senior member of our Leadership Strategy Services Practice Group. He has also worked signfiiancrtly throughout Central Europe, including Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, and Rumania. In 2006, Dr. Benkő was elected a Partner of Egon Zehnder International.

Ana Mavar, prof.

ANA MAVAR, direktorica i osnivačica LINGUA GRUPE – škole stranih jezika i trening centra poslovnih vještina - po struci je profesorica engleskog i talijanskog jezika.

Posvetila je cijeli profesionalni život razvoju metodike stranih jezika, autor je udžbenika , priručnika i rječnika u izdanju Školske knjige , Longmana i Alfe.

Autor je brojnih televizijskih programa engleskog jezika HRT-a, recenzent za udžbenike engleskog jezika Ministarstva prosvjete.

Više godina je bila stručni konzultant izdavačke kuće Longman za Hrvatsku , a interes za struku je potvrdila sudjelovanjem na mnogobrojnim međunarodnim konferencijama i radionicama profesora engleskog jezika.

Certificirani je trener za program Developing People Internationally, koji je pohađala u York Associate vodećem britanskom centru poslovnih vještina.

U svom dugogodišnjem praktičnom iskustvu osmislila je s timom LINGUA GRUPE ciljane programe stranih jezika koji pomažu rukovodnom kadru i interesnim skupinama u ustanovama i tvrtkama stjecanje jezičnih znanja i vještina , koje pomažu poslovnim ljudima kvalitetno i kompetentno obavljanje složenih i odgovornih zadataka.

Član je međunarodnih strukovnih asocijacija IATEFL / udruženje profesora engleskog jezika - BESSIG / udruženje profesora poslovnog engleskog, KRUG-a / udruga poslovnih žena Hrvatske.
